POSITION: Digital Strategist

LOCATION: BURLINGTON, VERMONT

Job Description:


IXIS is seeking an experienced and naturally curious Digital Strategist to join our growing team. The Digital Strategist is responsible for developing solutions to meet our clients’ brand objectives based on consumer insight and data.The Digital Strategist will help internal and external cross-functional teams develop and evolve ideas to bring together brand goals, retailer objectives and consumer needs on behalf of our clients. Working closely with our clients, the Digital Strategist will discover their user’s perspective and guide them as to how these can be connected through future digital interactions. We take a data-informed, human-centered approach that combines skills from several disciplines to produce visionary and pragmatic advice. The ideal candidate will have experience spotting trends and technologies that play roles in consumers’ lives, as well as familiarity with paid and organic media strategies (SEM, SEO, CRM, social media, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain client relationships upon a foundation of timely, actionable recommendations and strategic advice
  • Perform detailed research into our clients, their category, and competitors across multiple markets
  • Deconstruct competitive best practices in digital marketing and create benchmarks
  • Define global web architecture detailing what sites and social assets the brand will maintain globally in various versions and languages
  • Conduct web asset audits to map a brand’s global web presence and assess the effectiveness of each asset
  • Work closely with the various specialists involved with the implementation and management of our digital strategies (developers, data scientists, media partners, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for clients to use digital technology to enhance their overall marketing mix: product, price, place, or promotion
  • Conduct research, analysis, and reporting in related areas, such as market research, target segmentation, and brand strategy; collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to package quantitative output into client-facing deliverables
  • Structure and present recommendations to clients
  • Participate in new business activity, often by providing digital intel on companies and markets

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a strategic marketing role
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field
  • Comfortable working with data, including big data
  • Account Management experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Mastery of basic marketing principles, such as target segmentation, category, value proposition, positioning, and brand strategy
  • Proficiency with marketing data systems included but not limited to analytics, CRM, ESP, and social platforms
  • Deep knowledge of UX/UI, design/development implications, earned and paid media, programmatic advertising, digital marketing, and e-commerce
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience presenting in person and virtually
  • High proficiency in building presentations in Keynote and/or PowerPoint
