POSITION: DIGITAL STRATEGY INTERN

LOCATION: BURLINGTON, VERMONT

Internship Description:


IXIS is seeking an enthusiastic Digital Strategy Intern with a passion for data-driven digital marketing and some experience with digital marketing platforms and / or digital analytics. Your core responsibilities for this role include setting up, monitoring, and reporting on digital marketing campaigns. A drive to learn more about digital marketing and interest in continuous, independent learning are critical for this role. We would also love it if you had knowledge of SEO, Paid Media or UX best practices. We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm to join us in a small, high-performance, collaborative environment. Our ideal candidate will develop the skills required of a full-time employee throughout the internship process, and be eligible to transition into a full-time role with IXIS at the end of the internship period.

Responsibilities:

  • Use various analytics platforms to discover opportunities to optimize digital campaigns to reach client goals
  • Create weekly client reports, including key takeaways and suggestions moving forward
  • Assist with paid media, marketing and SEO audits
  • Creating and customizing Excel and Google Sheet documents for both internal and external use
  • Using client provided assets and industry best practices to assist setting up Facebook, Instagram, AdWords, YouTube and Display campaigns
  • Assist with reporting; distill data sets into actionable insights and analyze KPIs

Required Education and Skills:

  • Candidate must be available to transition into a full-time role at the end of the internship
  • Current or recently graduated college student preferred
  • Relevant coursework (marketing, computer science) or previous experience in a digital marketing position preferred
  • Exposure to Facebook Ads, Google AdWords or email marketing platforms a plus
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing for ecommerce best practices
  • Ability to derive insights, recommendations and action items from data sets
  • Exposure to digital analytic platforms (such as Google Analytics) a plus
  • Strong foundation of Microsoft Excel and Google Drive tools
  • HTML/CSS knowledge a plus
  • Interest in data analysis using R
  • Constantly staying on top of industry trends and the evolving digital marketing landscape and best practices
