LOCATION: BURLINGTON, VERMONT

Job Description:


IXIS is seeking an energetic and curious professional to fill the position of Junior Analyst for the company. This is a full-time, onsite position in our Burlington, Vermont office. The core responsibilities for this role include exploring analytics and marketing data to answer client questions, working with the Data Science team to perform quantitative analyses, and summarizing key findings and strategic recommendations for our clients. We are looking for someone with a passion for unlocking the value of data to join us in a small, high-performance, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analyses, visualize data, and generate takeaways for both ad-hoc and recurring reporting needs, using flexible templates
  • Improve existing report templates, including look and feel, layout, and data visualizations
  • Analyze and visualize data to support ongoing research projects and ad hoc client requests that drive UX and marketing strategies
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative research to build supporting evidence for retail and digital strategies
  • Collaborate with developers, data scientists, data engineers, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop R skills to work towards independently assembling data
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with supervisor, team, and clients

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • B.A./B.S. (preferably in a quantitative discipline)
  • 1+ years’ experience in a full-time position in a related role
  • Excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving, with good data intuition
  • Some experience of programming with a desire to continue to develop those skills (preferably in SQL, R, or Python)
  • Curiosity and desire to learn new skills; self-starter
  • Superb writing skills in both client communications and analytical settings
  • Experience with the following a plus:
    1. Digital analytics (such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) and e-commerce fundamentals
    2. Statistics, experimental design, and hypothesis testing
    3. Experience pulling and processing data using SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages
    4. Digital marketing strategies (email, SEO, SEM, social, etc.) and associated metrics/KPIs
    5. Agile/scrum methodology
